Construction is underway on the new Rochester Circuit Court, a modern facility designed to replace the outdated 1913 courthouse and support the region’s judicial needs well into the future.
When complete, the 32,452‑square‑foot building will rise two stories with a partial basement, delivering a secure, efficient, and welcoming environment for the public, court staff, and law enforcement.
The design includes four state-of-the-art courtrooms, judges’ chambers, court clerk offices, public service counters, security screening areas, and a spacious public lobby. Additional support spaces—such as meeting rooms, law‑enforcement areas, and temporary defendant holding rooms—are incorporated to ensure smooth and secure daily operations.
The basement level will contain holding cells, a sallyport, court storage, and mechanical spaces. Site improvements currently underway include a new entry drive, separate parking areas for staff and the public, and upgraded utilities.
Once completed, this attractive and contemporary courthouse will significantly enhance the infrastructure of the Rochester Circuit Court system and serve the community for decades to come.
