Construction is underway on the new Rochester Circuit Court, a modern judicial facility that will replace the community’s outdated 1913 courthouse and support regional court operations well into the future.
Upon completion, the 32,452‑square‑foot building will feature two stories and a basement, providing a secure, efficient, and welcoming environment for the public, court staff, and law enforcement.
The courthouse will house the district, family, and probate divisions and include four courtrooms, judges’ chambers, a court clerk’s office, public service counters, security screening areas, and a spacious public lobby. The design prioritizes accessibility, intuitive circulation, and operational efficiency to enhance the experience for all users.
Additional support spaces include meeting rooms, temporary defendant holding areas, a sallyport, court storage, and mechanical spaces that support safe and effective daily operations.
Once complete, the new courthouse will deliver a durable, accessible, and secure civic facility that strengthens the Rochester Circuit Court system and serves the community for decades to come.
