The Town of Westmoreland partnered with DEW to create a modern, purpose‑built fire station that enhances emergency response capabilities and supports the community’s long‑term safety needs.
DEW completed the ground‑up construction of a 6,500 gross square foot fire station to replace the Town of Westmoreland’s aging facility. The new building provides three modern apparatus bays, dedicated office space, and comfortable crew quarters designed to support daily operations and emergency response.
To ensure uninterrupted service during critical events, the facility is equipped with an emergency generator, allowing it to function as a fully operational emergency hub. The project was built on the same site as the former station, located near the Westmoreland Town Hall and Post Office.
Given the proximity to active municipal buildings, the team implemented careful site management measures throughout construction to protect existing parking areas, utilities, and pedestrian pathways. The result is a highly functional, durable, and community‑focused fire station that supports the town’s long‑term public safety needs.
