Health care is an extremely challenging area of construction because phasing is very difficult and essentially no departments in the hospital can be shut down at any time. DEW has been extremely flexible in helping us work through the phasing on this project and has always been conscientious of the fact that health care facilities are financially challenged.

This fifty-five million dollar project signifies the largest bond vote in the State of Vermont’s history, and we needed a construction manager who could assist us in meeting the expectations of our individual user groups at an operational level, and our citizen groups at a local and state level. MacMillin met our expectations by listening to our needs, working closely with our administrative staff to provide budgeting and phasing for each of our individual schools.
