NORTH HERO, Vt. — On March 16, DEW Construction joined the Town of North Hero, local officials, first responders, community members, and project partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new Fire Station and Town Garage. The project represents a major investment in the island community’s future, enhancing emergency response capabilities while supporting essential municipal services. DEW Construction is serving as the general contractor for the project, which will replace the town’s existing shared facility that has supported fire, rescue, and public works operations for more than 50 years. The aging building no longer meets current operational, space, or safety standards. Designed by AES Northeast, the new municipal campus will include a 7,000‑square‑foot fire station and a 3,000‑square‑foot public works building. The facilities are purpose‑built to support modern emergency response and daily municipal operations, with expanded apparatus storage, improved organization, and efficient layouts designed to reduce response times. DEW Construction Promotes Shane Snyder to Superintendent
DEW Construction is proud to announce the promotion of Shane Snyder from Assistant Superintendent to Superintendent. Since joining DEW just over two years ago, Shane has become a trusted and respected member of the team. With more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, he brings strong field leadership, a commitment to quality, and a proactive, organized approach to project coordination. During his time at DEW, Shane has contributed to several significant projects, including The MAREK South in Lebanon, NH; the Dartmouth Sailing Center in Enfield, NH; and Settlers Common in North Conway, NH. He is known for his effective subcontractor coordination, attention to quality control, and consistent use of Procore to maintain clear documentation and organized project workflows. “Shane brings a strong work ethic and takes ownership of his responsibilities,” said Cameron Riley, General Superintendent at DEW Construction. “He works extremely well with both our trade partners and internal teams, and this promotion reflects the leadership and professionalism he demonstrates on every project.” DEW Construction congratulates Shane on his well‑deserved promotion and looks forward to his continued contributions in his new role as Superintendent.
