Designer/manufacturer of geotechnical measuring instruments used in large scale infrastructure projects, GEOKON, contracted with DEW to construct a new 23,000 sf building located across the street from its headquarters on Spencer Street in Lebanon, NH.
The new building houses engineering and marketing and includes 35 offices, a training facility for customers, and a photography and video production studio. To create the modern architectural look and feel the company desired, the building’s exterior features a colorful light gauge metal framing with a metal rain screen assembly. On the interior, a majority of the flooring is polished concrete, and many of the ceiling areas are dry-wall painted with exposed utilities and ductwork. To increase energy efficiency and reduce Geokon’s carbon footprint, solar panels were installed on the roof to power the building.
