On Friday, September 29, DEW’s field employees gathered at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lebanon, NH, for DEW’s Annual Safety Day. At DEW, Safety is a Way of Life. It is ingrained in our company culture. Our team members undergo regular safety training sessions to stay updated on the latest safety protocols and practices. Newly Constructed Hundred Nights Shelter in Keene, New Hampshire, Officially Open
The newly constructed Hundred Nights shelter on Water Street in Keene, New Hampshire, is officially open! To mark this significant milestone, the local community gathered for a celebration featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an open house event on Saturday, September 23. This 15,000-square-foot, wood-framed, three-story homeless shelter is a symbol of hope and dedication, providing a safe haven for those in need. DEW Construction managed the construction of this building, which will replace the Hundred Nights Lamson Street facility and double its capacity with 48 beds and eight rooms, each equipped with bathrooms, showers, and dressers. Additionally, four private rooms were designed for families in a separate wing of the building on the second floor. The shelter also includes communal spaces, donation rooms, an industrial kitchen, laundry rooms on each floor, ample storage, and separate bedrooms and office space for staff members. The building, designed by Market Square Architects, fosters a warm and welcoming atmosphere, providing a sense of comfort and security to those seeking shelter. DEW Construction Welcomes Two
DEW Construction is pleased to welcome Assistant Project Manager Justin DePasquale and Superintendent Patrick Turnbull. Assistant Project Manager Justin DePasquale brings over seventeen years of industry experience and is proficient in all aspects of project management. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island in 2015, he worked for a local construction company overseeing renovation projects. Eventually, he established his own construction company in Rhode Island, specializing in constructing recreation centers for several years. Justin’s career path eventually led him to Colorado, where he joined a company that focused on renovating large-scale multi-family housing projects in Kansas City, Arizona, and Colorado. As Assistant Project Manager, Justin will be responsible for helping oversee the planning and implementation of projects from preconstruction through construction. Justin is currently helping to oversee the management of the South Burlington School District – Zero Energy Modular Classroom project in South Burlington, VT. Additionally, he is assisting in managing several projects currently active at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. Superintendent Patrick Turnbull has over a decade of experience overseeing commercial and Federal construction projects. He has worked extensively with the US Air Force, Army Corps of Engineers, and the US Navy. Turnbull initially started his career as a property manager, where he was responsible for maintaining five properties and overseeing various renovations totaling over 165,000 GSF.
