Clint Oftedahl has joined the team as a Marketing Specialist. In his new role, Clint will collaborate with our Marketing Director to strategize and implement comprehensive marketing approaches. His responsibilities will include producing thorough, tailored proposal responses and supporting materials for client meetings and interviews and maintaining our CRM Database. Clint brings nearly 20 years of dynamic experience in communications and media, including broadcasting and publishing. His extensive background and enthusiastic, creative approach make him a valuable asset to our Marketing and Business Development departments. Clint holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Sports Management from Campbell University, and a Vocational Degree in Broadcasting from the Illinois Center for Broadcasting. Ray Burns joins DEW as a Superintendent, bringing decades of industry experience in construction supervisory positions. His extensive expertise spans government, public, and private sector projects, historical restorations, and industrial and manufacturing. Ray’s unique background will be instrumental in his new role. Ray has joined the team on the Bellows Free Academy project in Fairfax, Vermont. He will manage the field staff, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure a timely, cost-effective project completion while maintaining a safe work environment. His strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills will be key assets in achieving project success.

A Heartfelt Thank You from Bow Elementary School
Last week, the DEW Construction team, along with our trade partners, attended a heartfelt Thank You Breakfast at Bow Elementary School in New Hampshire. Hosted by the students and staff, the event was organized to express gratitude to everyone who contributed to the successful completion of the addition and renovation project. The morning was filled with memorable performances, including singing, poem readings, and artwork that showcased the students’ creativity and appreciation. Our team found it incredibly heartwarming to hear the students express their excitement and gratitude for their new spaces. DEW extends our sincere thanks to Bow Elementary School and the Bow & Dunbarton School District for organizing this special event. We are deeply grateful for this gesture and will always cherish the experience. It has been an honor to be part of this transformative project, and we look forward to its continued positive impact on the Bow community for years to come. Things are Brewing in Manchester, Vermont
Exciting developments are underway in the heart of Manchester, Vermont, as DEW Construction has started constructing a new microbrewery and pub. This exciting project, owned by Manchester Retail Associates, LLC, and designed by the talented team at BMA Architects & Planners, promises to be a vibrant addition to the village center. The project involves the construction of a 9,725-square-foot facility that will serve as a hub for both locals and visitors. The new brewery and pub will feature a dedicated brewing area, a commercial kitchen, a welcoming taproom for public enjoyment, and a 530-square-foot meeting room located on the mezzanine level. Key components of the brewery include: Mechanical Room: Equipped for water softening, filtration, and RO treatment. Cold Room: A 380-square-foot space for storing finished beer. Crush Room: Designed for processing malted hops and conveying them to the mash vessel. Main Brew Room: Housing mash, lauter, and fermentation vessels along with brew controls, storage, and workstations. Slated for completion this fall; the new microbrewery and pub is set to become a cornerstone of Manchester’s vibrant community. Williston Public Safety Facility Wins AGC Vermont Best Builder Award
On Wednesday, December 04, 2024, DEW Construction proudly accepted the AGC Vermont Best Builder Award for the Williston Public Safety Facility project. This recognition, in the Green Innovation & Sustainability Building, New Construction category, celebrates our team’s dedication to creating a cutting-edge facility that combines modern infrastructure with sustainable practices, all while serving the critical needs of Vermont’s law enforcement. The Williston Public Safety Facility, located on 51 acres in Williston, Vermont, is the largest state police barracks in Vermont and houses one of the state’s two Emergency Communications Centers. This state-of-the-art building, spanning 22,561 square feet, serves as the hub for multiple Vermont State Police divisions, including the Traffic Safety Unit, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Recreational Enforcement Division, the Field Force Uniform Division, the Department of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement, and the Northern Vermont Drug Task Force. The facility’s 11,022-square-foot climate-controlled garage provides secure storage for special team vehicles and supports maintenance and utility functions. The facility exceeds Vermont’s energy code standards with advanced energy-efficient systems like a 42-well geothermal heating and cooling system, robust insulation and tight air sealing. It also incorporates a comprehensive stormwater management system, reducing environmental impact.
