DEW Construction Corp. received two Awards of Merit from Engineering News-Record (ENR) for the University of Vermont Redstone Lofts Project. The awards were presented on November 6, 2013 at ENR’s Best 2013 Projects Awards Gala in New York City.
The Redstone Lofts project received the awards in the category of Residential/Hospitality and Safety and competed against projects throughout New England. DEW was the construction manager for the project, Redstone Commercial Group of Burlington, VT was the Owner and Youkel of Burlington, VT was the Architect.
“The Redstone Lofts” project was a unique and challenging project that required exceptional commitment and ingenuity to accomplish,” said Don Wells, DEW’s President. “All members of our team are well deserving of this recognition by ENR,” added Wells.
ENR‘s Best 2013 Projects Awards are a series of special events that celebrate and honor the building teams that created the best projects of 2013. ENR is a national trade magazine published weekly by McGraw Hill and is a premiere publication read by the construction industry. ENR’s Best Projects competition invites companies to submit summaries of their top construction projects, which must meet a list of criteria, including the obstacles faced during design or construction and how these challenges were managed. Companies were required to describe innovation and creativity and provide details about how their projects helped elevate industry standards. Juries of local prominent industry professionals select these extraordinary projects.
Congratulations to DEW’s Project Team on a job well done: Kristin Fortin, Project Manager, Larry Bertrand, Superintendent, Larry Brown, Assistant Superintendent, Taylor Woodward, Project Engineer, Justin Yandow, Estimator, Rick Davis, Safety Coordinator and the many other field and office staff who worked on this project.
