DEW Construction is pleased to announce the addition of Ben Laflam to our team as Assistant Superintendent! Ben will be responsible for directing field activities with the team, quality control, safety, field office administration, and look-ahead schedules. For over a decade, Ben has been supervising projects for a design-build company specializing in custom homes, expansions, and renovations throughout Vermont. Ben has over fourteen years of industry experience and a degree in construction management from Vermont Technical College. Additionally, Ben is a longtime member of the Vergennes Fire Department. Ben has joined the Vermont State Police – Public Safety Facility team in Williston, Vermont. His significant experience managing projects of varied sizes and complexities will prove invaluable to our team.

Jason Campbell Promoted to Assistant Superintendent
DEW Construction is thrilled to announce Jason Campbell’s promotion from Foreman to Assistant Superintendent. Jason started working for DEW as a Laborer over 16 years ago and was later promoted to Carpenter. Since day one, his drive, work ethic, and leadership abilities have impressed us. “Jason’s years of hard work honing his constructability and managerial abilities, dedication to DEW’s mission, and a keen interest in personal development have all culminated in this promotion. As Assistant Superintendent, Jason will manage the field operations with the team, including coordination of trades, safety (subcontractor orientation, training, compliance), schedule review, first pass cost and change control, and quality control.
DEW Welcomes Drew Johnson as Assistant Project Manager
DEW Construction is excited to announce that Drew Johnson has joined our team as Assistant Project Manager! Drew will assist in managing the business side of projects, including preparing budgets, creating schedules, responding to unique project demands, collaborating with engineers and architects, and communicating with our clients about progress. Drew holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Vermont Technical College and has over seventeen years of industry experience, encompassing project estimating, site supervision, and management. Drew was a previous DEW employee from 2011 to 2015 before relocating to Maine with his family. With DEW’s expansion into Southern Maine, Drew has decided to return to his roots! Drew will be teaming with Senior Project Manager Butch Thornton at our Seacoast Residences project site — a $69 million multifamily housing project in Kittery, ME. Colby Luopa and Nick Pease Promoted to Superintendent
DEW Construction is thrilled to announce the promotion of Colby Luopa and Nick Pease from Assistant Superintendents to Superintendents. Colby joined our team as a Project Engineer nearly eight years ago and was later promoted to Assistant Superintendent. Since day one, Colby has impressed us with his drive, work ethic, and leadership abilities. Colby graduated from Southern Maine Community College with an A.S. in Applied Science with a focus in Construction Technology. He is OSHA 10 and 30 certified, and in 2021 he completed the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Naval Facility Engineering Command Training course, Construction Quality Management for Contractors. “Colby was an Assistant Superintendent on the $32 million Maplewood Nursing Home project in Westmoreland, NH, last year and is now supervising the Cheshire County EMS Facility in Keene, NH, where he has proven his abilities even further. Colby’s ability to bring people together as a team, set goals and expectations, and execute are some, but not the only reasons he is moving to the next step in his career today.” — Dan Riley, General Superintendent. Cameron Riley Promoted to Superintendent
DEW Construction is pleased to announce Cameron Riley’s promotion to Superintendent. Cameron grew up in the construction industry and began working in the field for DEW in 2012. Cameron has held the positions of Laborer, Foreman, and, most recently, Assistant Superintendent over his last ten years with DEW. He also worked as a Field Safety Coordinator and is certified as an OSHA Outreach Instructor. Cameron’s proven leadership skills and constructability knowledge have been critical to the success of the projects he manages. Design teams and owner representatives have recognized Cameron’s commitment to quality control, “zero punch list” focus, and attention to detail. Cameron is a valued member of the DEW team, consistently exceeding expectations and proving his dedication and commitment to our mission. As Superintendent, Cameron manages, coordinates, and oversees the work of the DEW field staff and subcontractors on projects. Cameron will be responsible for all production aspects of the work in a timely and cost-effective manner and for maintaining a work environment that is safe and orderly. Cameron is currently one of the Superintendents assigned to our Seacoast Residences project in Kittery, ME — A 270,000 GSF multifamily housing project.
