The community of Amherst, NH will vote in March 2022 on a $75M bond proposal to build a new elementary school and renovate the Middle School. Pending a majority vote in favor of such, DEW has been awarded the project and construction is scheduled to start in the summer of 2023.
Under the proposal, the construction of a new elementary school will provide several additional classrooms. The two-story school will serve Pre-K through Fifth Grade. Renovations to the existing middle school will include classroom reconfiguration, new electrical and HVAC, bathroom renovations, and building safety corrections.
