DEW Construction Corp. is please to announce we have been hired as Construction Manager for the new Bombardier Mass Transit Facility North and West Expansion project located in Plattsburgh, NY.
The project consists of two additions, a 56’ high, 64,000 sf north addition, and a 35’ high, 23,000 sf west addition to an existing industrial building/light-rail train factory. Each section will include either the extension of existing or inclusion of new interior crane systems. In addition, interior and exterior train tracks will be extended and tied into existing rail lines. Demolition of four existing buildings is necessary before the commencement of new construction.
Preconstruction will start immediately with construction slated to begin December 2012. The project is designed by Wiemann Lamphere Architects.
