Health care is an extremely challenging area of construction because phasing is very difficult and essentially no departments in the hospital can be shut down at any time. DEW has been extremely flexible in helping us work through the phasing on this project and has always been conscientious of the fact that health care facilities are financially challenged.

From the Owner’s perspective I can say without hesitation, that DEW/MacMillin’s project team is very effective in managing the Project’s construction budget and construction schedule. In particular, Taylor has proven to be a true partner of the Owner on this project. He is very qualified to manage and provide meaningful cost forecasting services for a complex construction budget. Taylor and the team is consistently brainstorming ways to save the project money and reduce the construction schedule. His ongoing commitment to the construction schedule, sequencing, and phasing has proven to facilitate a dependable and predictable outcome for the Owner. Our project is on track to be significantly ahead of schedule, and is expected to provide a significant amount of savings returned to the Owner. Taylor, and the DEW/MacMillin team, will be a value added advocate for any project.

I have recently worked with DEW/MacMillin on a new Medical Office Building with a budget of approximately $10,900,000. Throughout the preconstruction and  construction process DEW/MacMillin has functioned with the owner’s best interests in mind. As the owner’s representative, I am highly involved with the project and can attest to the level of commitment that all members of the DEW/MacMillin team bring to the project. During the preconstruction phase of the project, DEW/MacMillin was integral to providing the Owner the cost and constructability support services that were needed to finalize the financing package. Their preconstruction team worked tirelessly to help refine the scope of this project to a feasible and desirable outcome for the Owner.
