Multi-phased expansion and renovation of a 45-year-old, county-owned, nursing home facility.
Phase I included the construction of a new five-story, 63,000 sf addition which provides connectivity to the original facility. Phase II was the renovation of one vertical half of the existing four-story, 102,000 sf, 150-bed facility. The residents were relocated to the new addition to support this phase of the renovation. The third and final phase, the renovation of the remaining vertical half, was completed in the spring of 2021.
The expansion features many upgrades — including more private rooms with private bathrooms, new living rooms, and dining rooms, additional office spaces, a new commercial kitchen and laundry operation, and all new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
