Significant expansion and remodel.
The Hannaford Supermarket in Essex Junction, Vermont was expanded 12,000 SF and the existing 43,700 sf store was completely remodeled. The store was reconfigured with all new finishes and almost all the store equipment was replaced. Building systems were upgraded to support the new design.
Occupied and subsequently in operation throughout the course of the project, work was done both during the ‘normal’ operation hours as well as overnight. To allow for the movement of products to accommodate the new work, the project involved a 12-phase schedule for completion. All work was closely coordinated with the store so they would have resources in place to accommodate product moves. A project with such an extremely detailed scope of work requires a lot of attention, coordination and communicate among all stake holders for a successful outcome.
