One of the largest primary schools in New Hampshire, with the capacity for 1,200 students, expands to meet the requirements of 21st century learning environments.
DEW provided construction management services at Golden Brook Elementary and Windham Middle School. Renovations and new construction, totaling over 128,000 sf, at Golden Brook include new classroom wings, entries, offices, a media center, project based learning rooms, creative arts room, social spaces and a full size gymnasium with a stage. The wings are organized by “house” and feature an identifying color theme. All instructional spaces feature natural day lighting.
Site improvements include parking, a new bus loop with separate parent drop off loop, as well as enhanced recreation fields and playgrounds.
Renovations at the Windham Middle School feature updated spaces to better support curriculum and to enhance learning opportunities, new Tech Ed and Family Consumer Science Labs, and updates to code systems.
