DEW Construction Corp., a leader in educational facility construction, has been awarded the new 20,865-square-foot Rowe Elementary School project in Rowe, MA. The project was awarded through DCAMM (State of Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance) for the Rowe Elementary School District.
The new school will be similar in size to the former school, which tragically burnt down after a lightning strike in 2012, and will contain four main classrooms respectively for children in preschool, Grades K-2, 3-4 and 5-6. The plans also call for a project room, library, lobby, music room, cafeteria, gymnasium, storage space, and administrative offices. The school will have a new footprint allowing kids to catch a glimpse of the nearby Pelham Lake and provide more sun exposure in the winter. Site work includes a new driveway and parking area, relocated playground equipment, buried water, propane and septic tanks and associated underground utilities.
